Anna Silk

Anna Silk is Canadian actress and has gained fame in Canada for her role in the film Bo. Silk was born in Fredericton, New Brunswick in Canada. Ilkay Silk and Peter Silk both were academics. Ilkay was also a writer, producer, and director. She is Director of Drama for St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna was a child and watched her mother at work and attending play rehearsals. Silk was a part of numerous commercials for kids. Silk was a graduate of St. Thomas University with the Bachelor of Arts degree in 1997. Theatre St. Thomas produced two of its first productions: Seven Menus, and The Kitchen. Silk relocated from Toronto in November 1999 to Los Angeles California to pursue her career as an actor. She met her future spouse, Seth Cooperman, at an acting training in Los Angeles in 2007. Following their engagement in 2008, the couple got married in 2009. In April of 2011, they renewed their vows in the Jewish celebration in Fredericton after she converted to Judaism. Silk Cooperman had her first child Samuel Jerome Cooperman May 2013 Levi Aaron, Silk's second son was born in the month of May in 2016. Silk has a number of television roles, including Cassidy Holland from Being Erica. The actress was nominated to win an award called the Gemini in 2009 to play this character. The Canadian drama Lost Girl cast her as Bo Dennis, the lead character from the succubus. Silk fell pregnant during the final production of the season 3 finale and announced this to viewers in the Showcase's Season Three Pre-Show Special on 6 January 2013. On June 4, 2013 Showcase and Prodigy Pictures announced that production was beginning on the fourth season and on the 20th of June 2013 Silk posted on Twitter that she was ready to the set of the show. CNN has named Bo's character along with Lauren (Zoie Palermo) in Lost Girl one of the most talked about television couples of all time. E! voted it the top couple on TV for 2013. Entertainment Television. Silk's success has led to a large online audience through social networks.
